Behind the Curtain: Broken keys, and trying to do the right thing
What happens when you're self-employed and your entire office breaks? You have to get in contact with the DWP, and that's always likely to raise your anxiety levels.
One of the things that I have come to realise over the last few months is that I haven’t been doing enough for the paying subscribers on this Substack. The upshot of this is that I have been shedding paying subscribers over this time, and that from a moral perspective I feel the need to provide more than I have for those who keep this place going.
With that in mind, Thursdays from now on will be keeping things personal days. For paying subscribers, then, will see the start of a new series called “Behind the Curtain”, in which I’ll talk about more personal subjects such as my job, and my life outside of work. My broader “Single Parenthood & I” pieces will remain available to all, for the time being.
And as a quick reminder, if you’d like to have a paid subscription but literally cannot afford one, all you have to do is drop me a line and I’ll sort it for you.
