You will probably know this but there was a book on the history of the Amateur Cup written in the mid 80s. I can't for the life of me remember the author, it may have been sponsored (Servowarm?) and the cover was blue. It was good, but it is due a better version, so crack on!

I have that book! Written by Bob Barton. I looked at and it's mostly results and stats, quite dry, so I'm thinking of something a bit richer.

That's the one! It needs writing. The Amateur Cup provided my late dad with the happiest moment of his football life as the club he very briefly played for in the 50s, Bishop's Stortford, won the last one. The Vase gave him two happy moments too when Stansted won (where he lived as a child, he knew many at the club) and then Diss won in 94 (where he moved to).
