One of the reasons the NLS and feeder leagues are booming might just be the great economic pull of southern England. The equator of NLN/NLS seems to drift south every year as the strength of southern clubs leaves traditional northern clubs (Workington etc) struggling. Towns like Hemel are growing. Does this bear out?

I believe that had they not gone down yesterday there was chance that St Albans might have forced into the north next season. It definitely seems to be drifting south, but I can't even think what advantage there might be beyond financial. I think there are more artificial pitches down here, not sure whether that makes any difference.

Truro away first game of next season might be nice, no idea if it's at all doable on public transport.
